Job Summary:

This position will join the New Product Introduction Quality Assurance team at our Billerica, MA office. This team is responsible for performing environmental lab tests, test data collection, and test results reporting. The role will also support environmental test lab equipment setup and maintenance as needed and will manage site level test equipment calibration needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Test Support: Operate related test lab equipment, conduct qualification or production tests, and report data in prescribed formats.

  • Calibration Coordinator: Serve as the site lead Calibration Coordinator for qualification and production test equipment. Schedule bi-annual 3rd party calibration events. Assist asset owners in scheduling, shipping, and logging calibration events of unique equipment.

  • Lab Support: Assist Quality and Production teams with assembly, modifications, and installation of test lab fixtures and equipment to streamline testing. Support lab coordinator with maintenance appointments as needed.

  • Manage a list of open tasks and action items as assigned by manager or others on a weekly basis.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; or 2 year post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Proficiency in working from test procedures, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, and written or verbal instructions preferred.

  • Experience in designing, constructing, testing, and checking out test equipment preferred.

  • Technical writing skills for 3-5 page template technical reports and power point template presentations.

  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as thermal chambers and vibration tables is plus.

  • Able and willing to work occasional evening/weekend hours (10%) as required for testing purposes.

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
