We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Fuel Cell Modeling and Simulation. This role will develop, improve and maintain CFD models for development of fuel cell stacks and fuel cell engines that will support power system applications.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development of 3D multiphase CFD modeling and simulation of Nuvera’s fuel cell stacks.
Develop CFD models for key components for product development that involve heat transfer and fluid dynamics. Conduct CFD simulations and analysis to aid the design and operation subsystems and engines.
Maintain and improve Nuvera’s CFD modeling and simulation capability to support company-wide product development activities.
Support the evaluation of advanced fuel cells for Nuvera’s products.
Design and create test plans in conjunction with senior engineers and development team.
Execute test plans and report detailed test results to the team.
Required Job Qualifications (unless otherwise noted):
Educational Background
- MS or PhD in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Previous Work Experience
10+ years relevant industry experience
5+ proven advanced CFD modeling skills
Physical requirements/Work environment
- Laboratory and office work environments.
Travel Required
- Up to 5% travel may be required
