This exciting position plays a crucial role in supporting and coordinating activities in the HR department. The HR Coordinator is someone looking to get their foot in the door and ideally looking for upward mobility into an HR type of position. This position will support the most senior level leaders on the Human Resources team.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Compliance:

  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Administrative support for key HR programs including anniversary awards, recognition, team member handbooks and other programs as assigned.

  • Project Management with annual audits including: commercial bribery, PCI, EPL, etc.

  • Keeping abreast of changes in employment laws and updating HR policies accordingly.

Employee Relations, Travel and Expense:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.

  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

  • Partnering with Finance and team to ensure invoices are approved and codes appropriately for timely payment.

  • Travel and expense coordinator for HR Leadership Team

  • Supports Diversity & Inclusion initiatives through TM Resource Groups.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinating training programs for employees.

  • Helping employees access professional development opportunities.

  • Event planning and coordination for training sessions and all meeting across HR

  • Organizing employee engagement activities and events.

    HR Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • ​ Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including policy development, process improvements, and compliance efforts.

  • Prepare HR-related reports and presentations for management as needed.

    Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial candidate assessments.

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork completion, orientation sessions, purchasing branding items, and training logistics.

    Payroll Assistance:

  • Collaborating with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

  • Assisting with payroll-related inquiries from employees.

  • Ensuring a streamlined process for non-exempt and exempt team members to log time off

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.

  • Team player mentality with a customer service-oriented approach.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $26.44.
