Overview of North America (NA) Marketing + Communications

The North America Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates marketing and communications strategies across the marketing lifecycle that fuel growth for Accenture’s $20B+ North American market (United States and Canada).  Its cross-functional team drives category brand positioning in the North American market, curates end-to-end client experiences to drive the local growth agenda, empowers and positions Accenture’s leaders, and engages and inspires the company’s North American people, recruits and alumni. It positions Accenture in the heart of local innovation, business and technology communities and champions programs for equality, inclusion and diversity within Accenture North America and the communities it serves. YOUR ROLE:

Job Summary:Join Accenture's North America Marketing & Communications team to support integrated marketing and communications for North America’s Inclusion & Diversity program. Specifically, help develop the strategy and execution of results-oriented marketing and communications aimed at increasing awareness, engagement and support of Accenture’s commitment to inclusion and diversity across the US and Canada.Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve on the Marketing & Communications team for the North America Inclusion & Diversity program team, liaising with various HR and M&C teams across North America and globally to achieve shared goals and objectives.

  • Promote, protect and differentiate Accenture by telling our story to our clients, people, recruits, investors and influencers, and capturing and merchandising our results along the way.

  • Work with the North America Inclusion & Diversity team leader to develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy, which includes identifying and managing strategic partnerships, speaking opportunities, internal and external events, key I&D moments/observances and awards and rankings opportunities as well as supporting thought leadership, media relations and executive positioning.

  • Execute integrated marketing and communications across a variety of disciplines, channels and vehicles, including: internal, external, digital, social media, traditional media, event management, etc.

  • Manage a portfolio of key North America awards and rankings opportunities, including: the evaluation of opportunities, the development of applications, the promotion of results, and leading a close partnership with HR/I&D to leverage learnings and insights to inform our business strategy as well as the continuous improvement of Accenture’s performance.

  • Write and edit short and long-form content for awards applications to website copy to pithy social posts to inspire and motivate our target audiences.

  • Create and maintain publication schedules and editorial calendars for delivery of relevant and timely content.

  • Analyze data from marketing programs, determine insights and develop recommendations to optimize on ongoing basis.

  • Maintain brand consistency (message and visual) across channels of communications.

  • Implement marketing and communications efforts adhering to agreed timelines and manage expectations with various stakeholders.

Role is expected to work from Accenture location on a regular basis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of overall marketing and communications experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven marketing and communications strategic planning, project management and execution skills.

  • Professional services or B2B marketing and communications experience a plus.

  • Public relations agency experience a plus.

  • Experience working with agencies or vendors.

Professional Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of and ability to apply marketing concepts, branding and message development skills.

  • Thorough understanding of and an appreciation for a wide spectrum of inclusion and diversity topics, issues and sensitivities, why this work matters inside and outside of the

  • workplace and how it drives business performance.

  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of Accenture’s area of business and overall business strategy.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven, pithy, stand-out writing style specific to the digital medium.

  • Ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to both internal and external audiences.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of and aptitude for digital marketing.

  • Proven ability to get things done both independently, with minimal supervision, and in a collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment.

  • Resourcefulness and tenacity, ability and willingness to progress with ambiguity.

  • Ability to work across a large, matrixed organization.

  • Ability to successfully manage numerous complex and fast-paced projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $73,764 - $170,100 and information on benefits offered is here.
