General Electric Academic Business Development Leader - Imaging in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

As an Academic Business Development Leader - Imaging, you will own and drive the competitive account sales strategy of the diagnostic imaging portfolio within key academic accounts in the Massachusetts and Connecticut markets. You will be responsible for penetrating accounts not currently purchasing GE equipment to drive competitive account conversion. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the academic and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development strategy for the region more broadly.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and execute specific strategies needed to grow business across covered accounts.

  • Lead and coordinate KOL and Academic strategy and commercial efforts across the entire region. Drive incremental KOL engagement.

  • Develop strong relationships with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with your account community team to learn product and qualify opportunities


  • High school diploma with a minimum of 15 years of healthcare sales experience OR Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of healthcare sales experience

  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing complex sales deals

  • Experience developing and presenting information to stakeholders

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships with academic healthcare professionals

  • Proven experience and success selling diagnostic imaging products

  • Experience developing and executing long-term selling strategies
