The MENTOR Network Adult Day Center Transportation Driver in Boston, Massachusetts

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.

Driver - Adult Day Center TransportationWe are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full time hires!

Mentor Adult Day Health is seeking a Driver/Program Assistant, to ensure our program meets the needs of each of the individuals we serve. Full and Part time opportunities available in a rewarding setting assisting seniors with special needs, in a community based center. Your dedication and dependability will make a lasting impact in the lives of others. This is a great opportunity for retirees and college students looking for flexible and satisfying employment! Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Provide safe, reliable transportation services.

  • between individuals' homes and our program site.

  • to and from medical appointments as needed.

  • to and from various activities and events in the community.

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly safety and maintenance checks of assigned vehicle(s)

  • Facilitate leisure planning and activities in the community, supporting individuals' participation in activities, accompany individuals in outings in the community.

  • Full Time schedule includes assisting the center with serving meals and facilitating activities.

  • Part Time, split shift (AM/PM) hours available for a flexible schedule.

  • Assist with serving meals and provide support with eating as necessary.

  • Assist participants with basic hygiene skills (grooming, toileting).

  • Interact with the individuals we serve with an empathetic, respectful, and caring manner in all that you do.

  • Adhere to proper lifting and emergency guidelines.

  • Complete necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Follow confidentiality requirements at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 6-12 months of experience in the human services industry preferred.

  • Valid Driver's License from state of residence with a clear driving record.

  • Successful clearance of Background Checks and Reference Checks.

  • Successful clearance of health screens and/or drug screens as required by the state.

  • Bilingual - Russian Speaking preferred
