What Revenue Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Revenue Management is responsible for developing, communicating and leading the execution of business strategy and customer profitability through pricing and value-capturing activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. Serves as an effective liaison with senior executive management, marketing, legal, finance, sales, and IT.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with pricing processes, systems, and controls and implements as necessary

  • Prepares, manipulates and extracts data and information from multiple internal and external sources and leverages to develop and execute pricing strategies

  • Demonstrates knowledge of customer economics, financial modeling techniques, and related pricing strategies

  • Works effectively across functions such as IT, Marketing and Finance to design and implement new or enhancements to existing processes, systems, and tools

  • Communicates effectively across the organization regarding profitization opportunities and key pricing insights

  • Develops, communicates and monitors price recommendations and guardrails for deals and products by performing pricing analysis or leveraging and synthesizing advanced analytics of internal and external intelligence

  • Develops, implements and maintains pricing programs designed to enhance pricing margin.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with field sales to develop strategic, market relevant pricing recommendations on customer deal pricing and improve understanding of pricing concepts and processes

  • Manages the financial deal approval process for customer contracts including building and effectively communicating deal strategy, profit and loss statement, and associated risks

  • Work cross-functionally to improve pricing processes to more efficiently drive Cardinal Health product at market-based price points

  • Review pricing exception requests and evaluate for strategic fit and optimal outcomes

  • Coordinate price maintenance strategy to improve pricing consistency and compliance

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in related field preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Ability to collaborate across functions to achieve results

  • Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to navigate new systems and processes quickly. Candidate should have advanced Excel skills and be able to navigate in Tableau, SQL, SAP, SFDC

  • Knowledge of how to read a corporate P/L

  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Contributes to the development of policies and procedures

  • Works on complex projects of large scope

  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Anticipated salary range: $65,500 - $98,175
