Meta Application Security Engineer - Platform Integrity in Boston, Massachusetts
Summary:
Meta’s Product Security team is responsible for finding, mitigating, and preventing security flaws across Meta's family of products, including Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. We are looking for a passionate Security Engineer who enjoys finding loopholes or vulnerabilities, which can be used to carry out frauds or impact the integrity of the platforms and products. You will have the opportunity to work on many of the most challenging, complicated, and high-visibility problems the company faces. From abusing Facebook Ads payments/metrics infrastructure, to finding flaws in Facebook’s application verification process. You will be relied upon to provide platform and product teams with the security expertise necessary to make confident design decisions and write secure code. Required Skills:
Application Security Engineer - Platform Integrity Responsibilities:
Develop misuse and abuse cases for platforms and products
Perform threat modeling and design reviews on new and existing products and platforms
Perform security testing to pressure test integrity checks and to bypass controls
Work closely with integrity engineering, security investigators to identify process improvements and countermeasures to stop or prevent abuse
Analyze recurring integrity issues and patterns from reviews and bug bounty programs and identify holistic solutions to address them
Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in performing threat modeling and design reviews
Understanding of online abuse, fraud and adversarial behaviors in social media and developer platforms

Demonstrated understanding of security and integrity risks, and how they apply to Facebook and its users
Experience investigating and acting on abuse and fraud threats
Experience working across the broader anti-abuse/security/Trust & Safety community
