MUST HAVE

Minimum of 3 years experience in application production support roleKnowledge of system administration – system configuration management, resource sharing, operating system fundamentals, Monitoring and Event Management systemsExperience with application support – basic programming skills, log reading and analysis, Unix command line and troubleshootingKnowledge and experience supporting AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS ECS, AWS Cloudwatch, AWS Glue, AWS Lamdba, Java technologies, VPC, Networking, Autosys, SSO, IBM MQ, SQL Databases, and Aurora PostgresSQL

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Application Support Engineer role will be responsible for providing technical support of all the TIW applications. The role will be executing all aspects of the operating procedures/runbooks within a predefined shift pattern. This role is expected to work closely with the required development teams, our Information Technology partners and our internal business clients to resolve and escalate technical support incidents where necessary.

Support by providing monitoring, application, and system support for TIW applications and services across client facing environments (production and client test).Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage and escalationPerform sanity checks or other TIW application health checksIdentify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc.Contribute to projects by executing task deliverables and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met.Provide support for change management approval, execution for production application servicesClient support team engagement to assist with application related incidents, client testing and integrationsDisaster recovery test planning and execution - application environment review, shutdown, start, verification, troubleshootingAccess administration for application access to production application servicesSupport management of resources that are involved in maintaining the operating systems on Amazon (AWS) and UNIX, as well as software subsystems such as databases, web server software and security subsystems.Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Required:
