Microsoft Corporation Area Win Room Sales Ops PM in Boston, Massachusetts

The US AWR Operations Program is focused on investments operations at the Area level. Deliver strategic and agile investing through the USAWR investment operations program and planning. The operations lead understands and maintains the operational rigor and reporting for the US Area Win Room team. Diagnosing and working to resolve underlying issues to ensure continuous improvement and that all SLA’s are met. The focus is driving the right set of investments, ROI, and time to market while reducing complexity and time spent for the US field sellers and customer facing teams.

  • Lead standardization of processes and tools across Area to enhance sales productivity.

  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting and BI.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance for Empower Success program (train the trainer role).

SOPM Team Responsibilities Process Excellence

  • Drive sales process enablement, insight, and execution locally.

  • Leverage and drive standardized reporting to improve local execution.

  • Works to enable in conjunction with field partners to improve tools and processes to increase efficiency, remove blockers, reduce redundancies, reduce manual work, or to save time within Sales Programs.

  • Synthesizes feedback and provides recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

  • Shares best practices and communicates with others across the community.

Supporting Sales Discipline and Pipeline

  • Provides execution support for the aligned segment sales operations programs and using tools, processes, and information for components of solution areas related to Allocation/Disputes, Consumption, Customer Adds, or Pipeline under supervision of senior management.

  • Learns the local knowledge of sales teams and analyzes data from sales execution to empower success and help address performance blockers across Customer Adds, Consumption, Pipeline, Scorecard, and Annuity. Leverages knowledge about and advises on one of the resources that support some areas such as tracking and monitoring, as well as performance of pipelines, scorecards, and sales plays.

Sales Operations

  • Learns and begins to execute about the process for local fiscal-year, cross-segment sales operations planning, using qualitative and quantitative methods for one component of across Territory Planning, Account Planning, FastStart, and/or Blueprint. Collaborates with others to align on sales operations execution. Tracks risk throughout the planning process. Assists in tool landing, orchestration, and follow up on completion.

Specialty Responsibilities

  • Ensures data quality checks and process across partnerships. Learns and begins to execute one component of partner management. This can include segmentation, quota, planning, co-selling, and/or transitions, and contributes with guidance from others.*

  • Provides insights related to churn prevention and win back plans in partnership with Sales Excellence. Understands and monitors reports tracking consumption and customer adds.*

  • Learns tools, processes, and Rhythms of Connection (ROCs) across the subsidiary or area that have already been identified by senior leaders to accelerate transformation. Integrates continuous improvement with reporting and Business Intelligence (BI), with guidance from others. Learns best practices across the community.*

  • Gathers information and generates reports related to monthly forecasting and pipeline management. Executes Sales Operations Planning Process for Support Sales with guidance from senior leadership.*

Required/Minimum Qualifications

An Experienced Program Management Professional, candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of practical subsidiary experience and a strong knowledge within Sales Excellence, Business Planning, Sales Operations and/or Finance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience working or interning in a large corporation, in the technology industry, or in sales.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $74,400 and $110,800.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
