Job Description

Assist in the administration and coaching of an NCAA Division I Field Hockey program as directed by the Head Coach. Duties include but are not limited to: assist with the coaching at all practices and competitions; recruitment of prospective student athletes on and off the Boston College campus including coordination of official visits, travel arrangements, and tours; serve as liaison for administrative units. Execution of all duties must demonstrate commitment to the academic and athletic development of all student-athletes and must be executed in full compliance of all university, ACC, and NCAA policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must have technical knowledge of the sport of Field Hockey, as well as understanding safety standards for Field Hockey; strong organization and communication skills; ability to work effectively with college student-athletes, athletic staff, university and community personnel, and alumni; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office programs.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

Current CPR certification required.

1-3 years of successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
