About the Role:

As a CBRE Assistant Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for a combination of advanced facilities work in regulated spaces.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. This position will be based out of our Boston office, providing a central location for managing several sites.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee operations across several sites, to be identified, with an emphasis on being physically present at the primary location and travelling locally to nearby offices five days a week to ensure optimal management and support.

  • Supervise and manage team members in remote offices, ensuring effective communication and support.

  • Ensure budget responsibility for the assigned locations, maintaining financial efficiency and accountability.

  • Work with landlords, tenants, and service providers to make sure they implement and recognize all procedures, policies, and reporting formats.

  • Manage painting and patchwork projects.

  • Major repairs of architectural items, cabinets, doors, and windows.

  • Direct the installation of shelving, tank holders, paper towel racks, coat hooks, and various items.

  • Point of contact for all front-line clients on various requests.

  • Coordinate with trades personnel on maintenance tasks, corrective, and preventative.

  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

What You’ll Need:

  • US passport required to visit a site within the portfolio in Toronto.

  • High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Assistant Facilities Manager position is $72,000 annually [or $34.62 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Assistant Facilities manager position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
