What You’ll Be Doing:

Evolent Health ( provides value-based care solutions for hospitals, health systems, and physicians to help them achieve clinical and financial rewards for more effectively managing patient populations. Leveraging 20 years of experience, Evolent Health works with clients to design, build, and manage customized value-based care models including clinically integrated networks, bundled payments, risk-based contracts, accountable care organizations, and provider-sponsored health plans. Our Technical team is looking for an Associate Advisor, Technical Operations to work on critical, customer impacting events, communication activity, and escalations while the incidents are occurring. Post incident resolution, the Associate Advisor, Technical Operations assists with technology improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement of all services provided by the Technical team. The Technical team partners with both client and internally focused technical stakeholders to tackle the most pressing HPS issues and initiatives. As a part of the TechOps organization, the Associate Advisor will be a critical thinker with the vision to work tactically and strategically.


  • Lead team of engineers/analysts in technical and process delivery of solutions

  • Understand business requirements with the ability to translate to technical requirements and project scope

  • Design, develop and optimize current/new solutions

  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team

  • Explore and educate team on new technology to modernize approach to solving business and technical problems

  • Define and distribute technical best practices within the Tech Ops engineering organization

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including team members from Production Operations, Engineering, and other Business stakeholders where necessary for resolution of issues

  • Implement venues and procedures to collaborate and integrate with partner technical teams to streamline delivery and issue resolution


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another technology/business field of study

  • 7+ years of progressive experience within application support/IT operations organizations

  • 7+ years of experience with SQL (expert level)

  • Experience in Microsoft .NET Technologies, C#, SSIS, SSRS

  • Experience with continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, etc.)

  • Extensive analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate and work with technical and non-technical audience, including the ability to modify communication style to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted, with strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer


  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Jira and Confluence

  • Experience in Healthcare related EDI ANSI X12, HL7, etc. data formats

  • Experience working with remote team members in different time zones

Technical Requirements:

Currently, Evolent employees work remotely temporarily due to COVID-19. As such, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is $120,000.00, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
