The Applied Innovation team is a highly innovative and entrepreneurial team driving solutions to clinical trial inefficiencies, rising costs of drug development, lack of technological advances in healthcare/pharma tech, and fragmented data silos. With the portfolio of applications under development, the QA engineer will be responsible for the analysis and identification of bugs and errors found during the test phase. You will also develop and run tests, report on results and collaborate with other engineers to correct issues associated with development. The incumbent will be a core contributor to applications used across multiple functions within BeiGene.
Essential Functions of the job:
Test current products and identify deficiencies Recommend solutions to identified problems. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. Identify, record, and track bugs. Perform regression and integration testing. Monitor debugging process. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts. Analyze bugs and errors found during tests. Document results of tests for the software development team. Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience. Works together with the development team to enhance and improve programs. Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent years in experience.
Preferably 8+ years with a Bachelors or 6+ years with a Masters degree.
Strong and extensive experience in software development and testing.
Proficient knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes, i.e., Selenium, Cypress, Pytest, Nose2, Postman.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans
Experience with white and black box testing.
Proficient working knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Knowledge of performance testing, automated testing tool, bug tracking tool, cross-browser testing tool, unit testing, and integration testing.
Experience working with agile-oriented teams and associated tools including Git, Jira, Confluence and Slack.
Experience with security testing is a plus.
Travel: Minimal travel, 1-2 times per year
