Fujifilm Associate Director, Technical Marketing in Boston, Massachusetts
Position Overview
The Associate Director of Technical Marketingis astrategic role with global span requiring significant technicaland scientificexpertise,excellent communication skills,experience in a biopharma CDMO services and ideally either experience in marketing strategy,scientific communications strategy,or a technical sales environment.
The individual will support a wide range of global marketing activities andthought leadershipscientific/technicalcommunications aligned with the Company business and marketing strategy to promote and expand FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies’(FDB)presence in the global marketplace.

Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Technical Marketing, this is a key position that will take an active role in supporting the development ofthethought leadership content and strategy within the GlobalMarketing Strategy, aligned withFDB’s services, modality strategy andBusiness DevelopmentCommercialStrategy.The priority is tocreate thought leadership contentand strategy,build and sharescientific,technical and market knowledge that will engage customers,showcaseourexpertiseto customer segments,differentiate our offerings,andultimately delivergrowth to the business in alignment with organizationalobjectives.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
Leadthethought leadership strategy, content development and tacticsthat are aligned with the Global Marketing Strategy andomni-channeldemand generation marketing campaigns,in the followingproduct line modalities:
Cell Culture
Microbial
Viral Vector and Vaccines
Cell and Gene therapy
Process Characterizationand other scientific services
Drug Product manufacturing services
Commercial manufacturing services
Support the creation, improvement,and maintenance of a broad range of compliant and up to date marketing materialsincluding but not limited to:
Thought leadershipcontent:white papers, insight briefs, webinars, blogs,speakerslidepresentationsand postersfor conferencesand events, industry publications
slide presentationsforbusiness developmentteam use with customers
marketing brochures, fact sheetsand other collateral
website pages
sales training tools and presentations
marketing communications, such as launch plans, new site openings,and press releases
Serve as Marketing’s technical liaison with internal groups.Assistin thedevelopment of positioning, core messagingand customer segmentation alignedwith the specific serviceand productofferings.
Lead the development of thethought leadership strategy andcreate the corresponding thought leadershipcontent aligned with theomni-channeldemand generationgo-to-market (GTM)strategyand goals.
Collaborate effectively with internal subject matter experts (SMEs),key opinion leaders (KOL) and speakers,marketing, communications, scientific and technical team members to develop thought leadership contentthat differentiatesour offeringsanddemonstratesourexpertise.
Create evidence-based proof points and competitive profiles to support Global Marketing strategy and GTM plans.
Manage SME, KOL, speaker, andthird-partyvendor relationships to ensure content strategy is executed on time andon-budget.
Measure and report thought leadership strategy,KPIs and ROI; adjust strategy and tactics as needed to drive demand,customerengagement andconversion.
Support thecontentdevelopment of thekojoX(innovative, modular operational delivery ecosystem),and Partners for Life brand campaigntacticsthrough the creation of aligned thought leadership content.
Provide technical support on strategic marketing projects including conferencethought leadershipstrategy, branding, service offeringdefinition, differentiation,andpositioning, andmessaging.
Coordinatescientificposters and publications for the technical teamsas needed.
Represent FDB inindustryconferences, Lunch & Learns, Workshopsas needed.
Perform otheractivitiesas assigned.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
BSc in Biological Sciences or related subject with a minimum of 10yearswork experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology,Contract Research (CRO) or Contract Development and Manufacturing (CDMO)Industries;Mastersor PhD Degree in Biological Sciences, Business,Marketingor related subject with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Bio/Pharmaceutical Industry.
Excellent understanding of microbial, mammalian and viral/gene therapy-based sectors with a desire to continue learningtoprovide effective support as FDB expands its technical capabilitiesand offerings.
Excellent communication skillsdemonstratedwith the ability to work effectively in cross functional teams and effectively influence team members.Proven ability toestablisheffective relationships with stakeholders and peers.
Excellent technical scientific writing and presentational skills.Proven ability to translate scientific and technical content into concise and persuasive market messagesandengagingcontent.
Proven experience managing multiple projectson time andon-budget.
Experience with technology transfer and an understanding of principal unit operations in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Technical experience in biologics process/analytical development or manufacturing, ideally in a contract services business environmentis desirable.
Demonstrated knowledgewith a variety of marketing concepts,practicesand procedures.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Officeand other softwaretoolslikeSalesForce,SmartSheet,ShowPad,andAdobe.
Ability to work in a complex, dynamic, global environmentwith agility,and willingness to travel when necessary.

The US salary range for this position is $131,000 to $198,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may alsodepend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
