State Street Bank Policy & Strategy, Assistant Vice President in Boston, Massachusetts

The Bank Policy & Strategy (BP&S) Assistant Vice President will assist the Vice President in executing compliance functions related to all aspects of BP&S owned policies, including policy writing, policy analysis, developing training content, and the enrichment of underlying regulatory obligations in Archer. Additionally, the BP&S Assistant Vice President will assist with the Corporate Compliance Policy Working Group. The remit of the BP&S team is global, high profile and fast-paced. The role involves frequent interaction with senior management of State Street, thus exceptional verbal and written communication skills are critical.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day local management support
  • Support management in the policy review, approval and communication process to support efficient implementation/renewal and dissemination of Bank Policy & Strategy owned policies and ensure alignment with the broader Corporate Policies Oversight Working Group mandate
  • Perform periodic reviews of Bank Policy & Strategy owned policies in a timely, consistent and transparent fashion and present policies to the Compliance Policy Working Group. Liaise with a diverse set of members representing the views of the Compliance Leadership Team, management, impacted Business Lines/Risk Units, and with support from Legal
  • Assist with the creation of training content aligned with Bank Policy & Strategy owned policies
  • Assist with the enrichment of the underlying regulatory obligations tied to each policy in the central system of record, Archer
  • Assist with the coordination and administrative aspects of running the Corporate Compliance Policy Working Group
  • Attend each Corporate Compliance Policy Working Group meeting to assist with driving high quality discussions, including the timely identification of global obligations and local polices and conflicts
  • Assist with annual look ahead process to identify key policy review dates and to outline key governance requirements for the following year

Requirements

  • Able to interact with all levels of staff and management
  • Flexible, open to change and willing to learn new processes and systems such as Archer
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, JD preferred but not required
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Share Point (Collaborate)
