Manulife Behavioral Insurance Activation Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

In this role, you will be crucial in driving growth in Vitality election, engagement, and messaging across our business. You will provide essential support, storytelling/presentations, and resources to our distribution teams, fostering both inorganic and organic growth of our Behavioral Insurance solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in distilling insights from engagement data to craft impactful stories and collaborating with teams to drive impactful pilots and recommendations to amplify the Vitality value proposition. A successful candidate will play a pivotal role in positioning our company as the leader in the market by creating and communicating a consistent message and positioning of Vitality within our Longer. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Behavioral Insurance Activation, Distribution, and Marketing teams to develop and implement strategic storytelling that effectively communicate the value propositions of our Vitality offerings across the business, emphasizing the behavioral science and “our why” behind its approach.

  • Develop, socialize, and present tailored sales messaging and presentations that drive increased sales, Vitality engagement, and registration. This role will also be executing and delivering training and messaging to new distribution team hires.

  • Represent John Hancock and Behavioral Insurance at regional meetings, industry conferences, seminars, and webinars to share our expertise on longevity, behavioral science, Vitality, and their implications to the industry, thereby enhancing the brand's presence and support to sales efforts.

  • Communicate complex ideas, concepts, and Behavioral Insurance theories to diverse internal and external relationships (including distributor Sr. Management).

  • Foster collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Sales Support, Regional Wholesalers, and National Account Management team to ensure alignment on and to drive cohesive strategies for Vitality activation and growth.

  • Collaborate with new and existing external distribution partners, along with internal teams, to develop and implement strategies to enhance the adoption of Vitality and to drive organic and inorganic growth.

  • Lead efforts to design and implement pilot programs based on Vitality sales and participation data to drive targeted and personalized strategies maximizing Vitality sales, registration, and engagement.

  • Interpret Vitality sales and engagement data and trends to distill actionable insights, recommended actions, and marketing messaging.

  • Support opportunities to enhance producer engagement and client registration, supporting sales language creation and decision-making.

  • Lead efforts to partner with distribution and distribution partners to create fierce advocates of the Vitality solution and align with the Longer. Healthier. Better. mission.

  • Coordinate and aid in creative distribution activation events using Behavioral Insurance partners (e.g., GRAIL Laboratory Visits, MIT Age Lab events). Provide recommendations to make these events unique and actionable for distribution and distribution partners. Partner with distribution team members to coordinate follow up and sales activities from these events that are measurable with both sales and Vitality engagement results.

  • Support and take ownership of certain strategic growth initiatives and projects to drive Vitality election and engagement across the organization.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and stakeholders to provide consistent messaging and storytelling of Vitality across product launches, initiatives, and projects that reinforces our unique value propositions and differentiators in the market.

  • Empower distribution teams with the necessary support, marketing resources, and messaging to effectively sell Vitality solutions, driving both increased sales, engagement, and registration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Behavioral Economics, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in the marketing, insurance, sales enablement, behavioral economics, or related field with a focus on driving sales growth

  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills, with a record of creating and delivering engaging presentations while handling potential objections

  • Proven experience in sales enablement, storytelling, public speaking, or related roles with a demonstrated understanding of the connection of longevity and behavioral science to our business.

  • Strong understanding of behavioral insurance principles and customer decision-making processes.

  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States and Canada

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong facilitation skills

  • Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,325.00 USD - $155,385.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
