Boston University BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE CLINICIAN, Student Health Services in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Boston University's Behavioral Medicine clinic is seeking a licensed clinician to join our dynamic, interdisciplinary team in a multi-purpose role. We are seeking a clinician to fill a 40-hour, 10-month position. The position includes clinical work as an evaluation clinician and a staff therapist, as well as outreach and prevention work for our diverse student population, and opportunities to supervise within our clinical training program. Required Skills
Experience conducting risk assessment, brief psychological treatment, and disposition planning
Minimum of three years post-graduate degree work experience in a mental health setting
Administrative and technological skills required to effectively document in an Electronic Health Record
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team setting
Skilled in working well under pressure to prioritize and manage multiple clinical situations and to coordinate these efforts as a part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrate awareness, knowledge, and skills to interact effectively with persons representing a wide range of diverse backgrounds, namely socio-economic, students of color, LGBTQIA+, and international students
Experience in college mental health, crisis assessment, brief intervention, confidentiality requirements, and referral
Self-motivated and self-directed with a commitment to high professional ideals
