As the Benefits Manager for MRP and working closely with HR leadership, you will oversee and administer MRP’s full suite of Health & Welfare Programs for three countries (US, UK, and CAN). In this role, you will be a key member of the HR team relied upon for leading and supporting the success of our programs as well as helping to identify opportunities for improvement, areas of additional employee education & awareness and drive systems & processes optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coach, counsel, and serve as a resource to employees and leadership for benefit programs and other benefit escalations.

  • Resolve employee questions and problems by applying and interpreting HR and benefit policies, procedures, and legislation.

  • Liaison with broker and vendors to ensure the smooth and proper administration of our benefits, timely claims resolution, cost containment, and the best overall employee experience.

  • Prepare and distribute written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits programs such as insurance plans, 401(k), life and special employer-sponsored plans.

  • Facilitate accurate and timely delivery/processing of benefit invoices and payments to include assisting with the reconciliation of employer contributions & payroll deductions to financials accounts.

  • Oversee feeds and flow of employee census, eligibility, and deduction information to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.

  • Maintain our benefit and communication platforms (websites, SharePoint, Workday, etc.) and keeping them update to date to include administering the functionality of all benefits programming in the HRIS system in conjunction with MRP’s product team.

  • Manage the annual open enrollment process, including selecting carriers and plans based on quotes and MRP’s benefit strategy, employee communications, updating systems as needed, and vendor management.

  • Complete benefit records, reporting, filings, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.

  • Prepare reports for HR and business leadership by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information on adoption and utilization.

  • Review and analyze the benefits market by studying employee needs, trends, competitive data, regulations, and practices, and help develop competitive programs and services to meet company strategic and financial goals.

  • Assist in compiling and analyzing data on salaries and conduct compensation benchmarking via MRP’s analytics tool to help ensure MRP’s total rewards and compensation programs remain competitive and equitable.

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing results as directed.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Seven years of progressive experience in employee benefits and human resources with at least two years’ experience in a benefit management or leadership role.

  • Deep understanding and working knowledge of Workday HCM required.

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft products, including Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and convert insights into tangible action plans.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organization, time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to plan and set priorities and execute work independently in a team setting.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across multiple functions and levels of staff.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, benefits, and operations.

  • Experience within Staffing/Recruiting industry a plus.
