About the role

Building Engineer with strong HVAC skills for an innovative, well maintained 13 Floor Office Building. Shift M-F 8:00-4:30

What you’ll do

• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

• Installation, repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing /piping equipment, machinery and controls located in the building. Monitors operations and conducts a routine and ongoing assessment of building systems operations and performance .Performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to ensure the proper functioning of departmental equipment.

• Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.

• Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as the need arises.

• Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders materials and supplies to finish the tasks.

• Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.

• Performs, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.

What you’ll need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.

• Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.

• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

• EPA Universal

• Interpersonal skills, with excellent communication.
