About the role
Building Engineer with strong HVAC skills for an innovative, well maintained 13 Floor Office Building. Shift M-F 8:00-4:30
What you’ll do
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Installation, repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing /piping equipment, machinery and controls located in the building. Monitors operations and conducts a routine and ongoing assessment of building systems operations and performance .Performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to ensure the proper functioning of departmental equipment.
Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as the need arises.
Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
Performs, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
What you’ll need
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
Interpersonal skills, with excellent communication.
