Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Business Analyst, Information Security in Boston, Massachusetts

The Business Analyst, Information Security works within the End User Behavior & Analytics (EUBA) Team & will be the primary technical and operational point of contact for the full stack of core reporting, user training, simulations and metrics related to their activities. This BA will understand the nuances of how this service is being used to support the leadership decision making process as well as its technical capabilities, always striving to keep them aligned. This role continually looks to the business to help articulate the creative ways the information can be used to demonstrate the current state of our information security program effectiveness as it relates to the threat landscape and our environment. This person is also responsible for executing the strategic vision and for realizing the roadmap for implementing new features and functionality associated with this service.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Experienced project manager and business analyst

  • Expertise in Information security governance and operating in a standard framework methodology.

  • Experience in working with specific EUBA and Learning Management Systems and tools as well as the metrics and proof of delivery.

  • Understands, develops, and delivers meaningful dashboards and reports to a wide audience demonstrating our current program state and adherence to framework standards.

  • Understand business needs and adjust or develop new processes to efficiently provide excellent service and value to the consumers of this information.

  • Use the information generated by our governance tools to assist in driving awareness and change to stakeholders.

  • Develop standard operating procedures and other appropriate documentation to enforce quality and consistency of the services this team provides.

  • Prepares, evaluates, and presents solutions and makes recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Audit Committee and Risk Committee project management and support, including timely development, review, approval, and delivery of Audit Committee materials.

  • Maintains integrity and quality of data by understanding workflows.

  • Draws upon advanced technical skills, including programming and/ or query skills and business intelligence tools.

  • Translates business needs and requirements into technical specifications.

  • Creates reports and dashboards that track multidimensional performance against division or department goals.

  • Expertise in data visualization, with ability to display key results including use of control charts, failure rates, trends, and graphs.

  • Responsible for routine and ad hoc dissemination of key information to stakeholders.

  • Evaluates utility of reporting methods and visual representations to communicate effectively through data.

  • Ability to convey insights and guides others during the design process.

  • Prepares documentation of SOPs, methods, metric development, and report production processes.

Background and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Strong experience demonstrating analytical, financial, qualitative, and quantitative skills.

  • 5-6 years of experience advanced technical skills computer skill and/or education in Technology, Computer Science, Coding, or related field required.

  • Experience in data management and analytic tools and techniques.

  • Experience in report writing, analytics, visualizations, dashboard creation, and development.

  • Project management experience

  • Strong MS Office Skills

Salary Range: $120,060.00 - $146,740.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
