Position Summary:

As a Business Development Representative - North America, you will be responsible for proactively prospecting positive engagement opportunities for the eProductivity Software (ePS) Printing business in the region, to uncover new opportunities and build relationships with prospective customers for future engagements and continued expansion of ePS offerings. A significant part of the role will focus on a defined key group / large prospect accounts targeted for the future, by ePS.

This role will coordinate with internal departments to improve the velocity of business and create a predictable, recurring pipeline. Success will be driven by using your curiosity, and analytical skills while developing a deep understanding of target markets.

Typical day-to-day activities in this role will include:

  • Develop new business opportunities through strategic sales tactics, including cold calling, influencing customer development, networking, and relationship building and building approach plans

  • Target specific named enterprise type of companies where ePS has little to no current engagement to gain penetration and invitation at both influencer and decision-making role, mapping stakeholders and developing a hypothesis to entry

  • Nurture relationships within large industry stakeholders including trade associations, end-users and potential partners.

  • Engage and own the ePS membership and relationship with Alliances, Affiliations, and Associations as a lead generation source. Identify new opportunities for memberships.

  • Educate and excite prospects on the unique value proposition and differentiators of our available solutions and services to drive sales growth.

  • Field, qualify and nurture assigned regional inbound marketing leads (e.g. website inquiries, contact me, form fills, calls) and BANT, then pass them to sales, as appropriate.

  • Follow up on prospects to keep moving through the sales funnel or remove from outreach efforts, by creating a disciplined, systematic approach.

  • Update and ensure contact and account details and activity history on prospects in our CRM

  • Evangelize product offerings to spur new opportunities based on market intelligence and customer demand and pivot them to influence decisions a the stakeholder level.

  • Travel to trade shows, partner with regional and local associations, utilize LinkedIn, marketing campaigns and cold calling to prospect new customers.

  • Work closely with Sales to ensure qualified leads are turned into opportunities that are accepted and actively worked by the Sales team

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 8 years of experience in lieu of completed degree

  • Proven successful experience in marketing/ selling MIS/ ERP and/or other software solutions.

  • Knowledge of MIS/ERP and/or other productivity software solutions in the packaging or corrugated industries is a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically within the North American continent. Travel may increase due to business need.

  • Proven success in challenging C-level decision-makers to change business processes such as workflows, technologies or other key business practices to improve business results

  • Ability to use trends, facts, data and technology to disrupt status quo and be a change agent in business across many levels of an organization from e-commerce to front-office and back-office

  • Display savviness in communication skills and strong listening skills when working with C-Level customers to uncover pain and the possibility for ePS sales to engage

  • Demonstrated success in opening new doors, new accounts and expanding new relationships across large enterprises

  • Deep experience working with trade associations to build brand awareness with an established network of peers and stakeholders, including, social media network platforms

  • Ability to win mindshare, secure engagement and gain commitment from key executives to work with you, your sales team and ePS.

  • If working remotely, experience working as a remote part of a team, with demonstrated success

  • Selling or marketing software and/or professional services (or other intangible products) in the packaging or corrugated industries is a plus

  • Motivated individual who keeps current with company messaging and processes to ensure the greatest customer connection and maximize business opportunities
