The Campaign Director will lead the strategic and operational planning of fundraising campaigns for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of campaign management, from coordinating with the prospect management and research teams for prospect identification to guiding the campaign through to completion. Reporting directly to the Divisional Vice President, the Campaign Director will work closely with a dedicated team of fundraisers, physicians, and healthcare professionals to secure philanthropic support. The Campaign Director must be adept in campaign best practices, including collaborating with key stakeholders, analyzing data, and providing campaign updates to senior leadership.
Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Work with Hospital leaders, Divisional Vice President all Directors of Philanthropy as well as Boards of Trustees, including campaign committees, to determine fundraising priorities, goals, objectives, and schedules based on the President/CEO's medical center-wide strategic plans.
Assist the Divisional Vice President and/or Vice President in the management of relevant Philanthropy Committees of the Boards and other campaign leadership committees.
Work with senior staff within and throughout the hospital or medical center to implement a thorough planning process to ensure the achievement of the revenue goals of the Campaign.
Assist with developing strategies, goals, and objectives for lay leaders that ensure their satisfaction with their involvement as well as their engagement with the hospitals’ and system mission strategic plan, and philanthropic needs. Work with major gift staff to ensure adherence to the strategic planning process as well as the meaningful engagement of volunteer leadership.
Develop and execute stewardship plans to ensure proper recognition and engagement of donors.
Work closely with the Philanthropy Communications and fundraising team to cultivate relationships with major and principal gift prospects and donors. manage campaign resources: all capital campaign marketing and online materials, case statements, brochures on hospital or medical center priorities and departments, template proposals, funding opportunity descriptions, etc. Ensure timely production of presentation material, working closely with the Divisional Vice President, Vice President and fundraising staff, external relations, and events staff.
Work with BILH Philanthropy Administration and Operations and oversee metric measurements and analytic reports designed to show progress against goals on a monthly, annual, and quarterly basis, including campaign progress.
Work closely with the philanthropy coordinator to track activities appropriately in the philanthropy database.
