Capstone's Financial Advisory Services (FAS) team is seeking a motivated and articulate Vice President with Performance Improvement & Turnaround Management experience. The team actively works with under-performing and distressed companies in a range of strategic areas, including mergers and acquisitions; turnarounds; performance improvement; restructuring; and interim management.

Candidates must have a willingness to take on challenging projects and work with clients and colleagues on a broad set of projects. Vice Presidents in the FAS group support new business development and client engagements, including managing the execution of the processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information, including 13-week cash flow projections

  • Coordinate and perform detailed business due diligence

  • Execute M&A transactions, manage day-to-day process activities, and maintain strict deadlines

  • Organize and prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations

  • Prepare and maintain complex financial models

  • Develop valuation models utilizing discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, and analyses of guideline public companies and comparable M&A transactions

  • Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements

  • Build relationships and maintain contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least four-five years of investment banking and/or corporate restructuring experience is required

  • Prior experience in mergers and acquisitions and related financial advisory services

  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with accounting and corporate finance

  • Deep analytical capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Be motivated, creative, outgoing with a strong work ethic

  • Possess strong skills in financial analysis

  • FINRA Series 79 preferred but not required

  • Experience with Pitchbook and CapIQ a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Graduate degree a plus

  • Willingness to travel
