Commonwealth Care Alliance Care Integrity & Quality Assurance Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
Under general supervision, the Program Manager of Care Integrity and Quality Assurance is responsible for the development, planning, coordination, and execution of a strategic plan that will serve to elevate Commonwealth Care Alliance’s delivery of quality care to a heterogeneous, and ethnically diverse populations. This is a multiyear program spanning multiple years with various intradepartmental interdependencies. The individual in this role employs formal project management methodologies, plans project timeline and milestones, tracks progress, monitors and communicates project status regularly and identifies and resolves issues in order to ensure effective execution and promotion of an organizational agenda for clinical quality process improvement and effectiveness. This position reports to the Vice President of Care Integrity and Quality Assurance, and will liaise with various CCA departments to ensure alignment and delivery on clinical objectives.
Assists in creating and implementing a comprehensive, outcomes-based strategic plan that is aligned with CCA priorities/initiatives related to clinical quality improvement. The plan also incorporates data-driven assessments of culturally competent performance, and defines a strategy for the continual provision, and gap identification in Key Performance Indicators.
Assists in collecting information which will aid in gap identification with regards to clinical quality improvement.
Identifies opportunities to partner with community, regional and statewide organizations and stakeholders to identify opportunities to collaborate to improve delivery of clinical programs and services.
Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to monitor the application of clinical quality standards.
Plans, coordinates and attends meetings as appropriate as it relates to execution of the clinical quality strategic plan.
Assists in the designs of policies, establishes standards and ensures implementation and compliance for CCA to meet all regulatory, contractual and accreditation requirements as it relates to service delivery across CCA.
Represents the department and company on external committees, workgroups and other events.
Manages a portfolio of work activities related to the execution of clinical quality improvement strategy.
Ensures regular tracking of activities and offers recommendations/strategies to identify failure risks.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master’s Preferred (MPH, MSW, MHA).
5-7 years in working within clinical programs or a healthcare atmosphere.
Preferred experience with creating and designing clinical programs.
Previous experience working with health research data.
Flexible and creative in developing working relationships with internal and external partners
Experience and comfort working with a wide-variety of people with different skills, positions and communication styles.
Possess excellent skill and instinct at employing a variety of communication techniques
Experience and understanding in knowing when to escalate issues to program leadership.
Ability to identify system problems and creatively facilitate processes to come up with solutions.
Excellent writing and editing skills, and strong attention to detail.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
Demonstrated ability to readily master new business and health care content and employ the subject matter expertise in managing project content and staff.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Superb interpersonal and communication skills.
Intrastate travel may be required.
English, Bi-lingual preferred.
Cubicle work setting.
Travel to other CCA sites (Springfield, Framingham, Lawrence, Downtown Boston).
Primary Office Location at Lafayette City Center.
