Tufts Medicine Pediatrics with Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) seeks a Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine to provide academic and innovative leadership for our Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Tufts Medicine with Boston Children’s is reimagining pediatric care to meet new and emerging community needs in the Greater Boston Area. In coming together, we are pushing the boundaries to improve access and equity to healthcare, by creating a shared and sustainable model of comprehensive pediatric care throughout the Tufts Medicine affiliated Community Network Hospitals in Eastern Massachusetts. Our physicians are the core of the collaboration and a part of the Boston Children’s Network Specialty Physician (BCNSP) Foundation. We maintain a mutual commitment to research, education and training of the next generation of clinicians.

How You’ll Transform Patient Care

  • Oversee and recruit for a growing team of Pediatric Hospital Medicine Physicians providing care in a community based setting.

  • Enhance the clinical, educational, academic, and service activities within the Division.

  • Support the strategic goals of the Division as well as ensure that divisional goals are well-aligned with departmental and institutional goals.

  • Support faculty development activities and encourage faculty to take advantage of various opportunities locally, regionally and nationally.

Who you are

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics, with Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred.

  • You are passionate about delivering hospital-based care to neonatal and pediatric populations within a community setting. Comfort and ability to support hospitalists in everything from delivery room management to emergency room consults is ideal.

  • You have a vision for the development of a group of passionate community-based hospitalists.

  • You support and encourage strong working relationships with the site directors at each of the network hospitals.

  • You have prior experience in personnel oversight, with strong interpersonal skills to lead and inspire a system with a growth mindset.

  • You are a champion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives as set out by the department and the organization
