Langan Engineering and Environmental Ser Civil Project Engineer/Manager (47393) in Boston, Massachusetts

Langan is seeking a Civil Project Engineer/Manager, looking for career growth, to join its collaborative team in Boston, MA. This individual will serve a key function in managing and supporting design and permitting efforts for a variety of land development projects, including residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on designing multi-sector commercial real estate, and institutional land development projects. Job Responsibilities: Site/civil experience on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion; Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects from concept through construction documents; Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical, environmental engineering, and landscape architecture; Expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance; Experience in technical and proposal writing. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; Demonstrated experience in all aspects of land development engineering; Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization; Availability to work overtime as needed; and Performs other duties as requested. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering required, Master\'s degree a plus; 5+ years of successful land development engineering experience with a concentration in land development. Permitting/regulatory experience in Massachusetts preferred; Possess a valid Massachusetts Professional Engineer license; Strong client development and client management abilities; Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others; Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred); Active participation in professional organizations; Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment, and to mentor junior engineers; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid drivers license in good standing.
