Your Role and Responsibilities
Location: You can reside anywhere in the USA near a major airport.
This role has the responsibility for the ongoing development and closing of large (50mm – multi-billion) GTS (Global Technology Services) services business opportunities within the Communications vertical - Communications: Telecom, M&E (media & entertainment), EU (energy & utilities), CSI (computers & Systems integrators).
Responsible for complete deal/engagement lifecycle inclusive of areas such as technical architecture, financials, HR, contracts negotiation, etc.
The Client Solution Executive will lead a cross-functional team to develop complex solutions and sales strategies to meet client requirements for infrastructure and applications managed services. The Client Solution Executive will incorporate market-leading technologies from cloud to cognitive to create future platforms for Communications vertical. They will be able to negotiate complex long-term services agreements within the unique requirements of the Communications procurement process. The ideal candidate will be effective at integrating and aligning the sales strategy to gain support across both external and internal senior executives.
Responsible for closing complex, multi-year infrastructure, cloud, and applications management services opportunities in the Communication vertical.
Will work with Managed Services teams consisting of pricers, technical experts, legal staff, and negotiations experts.
Partner with Third-Party Advisors and clients to secure and close long-term services agreements.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
Experience - At least 7 years’ experience selling long term infrastructure and application managed services contracts.
Leadership - ability to establish and get others to follow and execute sales strategies
Sales: the ability to work effectively with c-suite executive across business and finance disciplines, ability to develop effective value positions that align with client requirements and business strategies
Teaming: the ability to work with large teams and other IBM Brands to gain cooperation on plan execution.
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
Experience selling to the Communications vertical, which includes Telecom, M&E (media & entertainment), EU (energy & utilities), CSI (computers & Systems integrators).
10+ years’ experience selling long term infrastructure and application managed services contracts.
