  • Working with the Nurse Manager to plan, organize and oversee the daily clinical administrative operations of 10 Northwest (43 bed inpatient medical/ surgical unit serving Orthopedics, General Surgery, and other specialty surgical services)

  • Preparing staff schedules, conducting interviews, writing performance reviews, performing payroll tasks.

  • Facilitating the coordination for care/services to meet patient care operations requirements

  • Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care.

  • Selecting, supervising, coaching and evaluating clinical staff, and developing and providing staff education/development programs.

  • Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees and special projects.

  • Regulatory readiness compliance and safety event reports and follow up with action plans.

  • Conducting quality improvement audits.

  • Individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional patient care duties in response to staffing needs

  • Working 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 12 hour shifts.

To qualify, you must have:

  • BSN and current RN license. A master’s degree in nursing or current enrollment in master’s program preferred.

  • 4-5 years RN experience required and leadership experience preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, team building and collaboration skills.

  • Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories, and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experienced-based knowledge.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions.

  • Excellent technology skills.
