This Staff Nurse/Research Nurse will be responsible for:
Coordinating research programs which are focused on drug studies, natural history of disease progression, and other ongoing research areas.
Clinical responsibilities include patient evaluation, nursing assessment and facilitates care for selected Pulmonary patient populations.
Communicating with IRB, research programs, patients, families, and health care providers.
Create Prescriptions and Orders for all studies
Track and coordinate laboratory values
Coordinate with Pharmacy
Coordinate with Clinical Trials Unit
Nursing support for all subjects including drug administration and teaching
Phlebotomy/IV line placement and maintenance
Communication with sponsors, regulatory authorities, vendors, and other clinical research organizations
Working 40 hours a week Monday – Friday (no weekends no holidays)
To qualify, you must have:
1 year RN experience required. Strong working knowledge of Cystic Fibrosis, prior research experience, and pediatric RN experience strongly preferred.
Computer skills adequate for grant preparation and database input.
