Clinical Trials Manager

Clinical trial managers are responsible for managing the clinical trial process by implementing effective strategies for their organization. They oversee reviewing trial results using strict clinical procedures. In all tasks, clinical trial managers must comply with safety standards and respect privacy and confidentiality. Clinical trial managers execute and supervise clinical trials and oversee and guide clinical research associates (CRA) and clinical data managers (CDM). A clinical trial manager reports to a clinical project manager (CPM).
Collaborating with Project Manager to set targets for clinical monitoring staff and ensuring the recording of trial in compliance with project goals.
Creating and implementing study-specific clinical monitoring tools and documents.
Creating and overseeing the trial budget.
Identifying, enlisting, and choosing sites, and coordinating site management activities.
Coordinating and supervising clinical monitoring team.
Providing Clinical Research Associates with project-specific training and having regular meetings with them.
Recording and sharing interactions with clients and acting as their representative.
Arranging and overseeing site visits.
Gathering and examining trial documents.
Assuring compliance with SOPs and local regulations, and CFR, ICH, and GCP guidelines.
Experience in managing clinical trials or a portion of clinical trials from study start up to close out including timelines and budgeting.
Minimum degree requirements of a bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) with science/research concentration or RN or BSN or Pharmacy degree.
5 - 10 years of relevant clinical research experience with strong Phase I/II clinical trials experience in oncology, preferably at pharma or Biotech Company or CRO.
Previous experience in oncology required.
Strong experience and knowledge within clinical trial and drug development organizations.
Strong communication and organizational skills including Microsoft Office with particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationship with investigators at MMRC member sites and with pharma/biotech companies for business relations.
10% domestic travel required.
