Oracle Cloud Strategist/ Principal Cloud Product Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.
Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic.
Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification. 8 years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience.

Oracle is seeking candidates for multiple Cloud Product Manager positions with our OCI Engineering team. OCI is the next generation Cloud service built from the ground up to support the most demanding application requirements addressing a wide range of customer use cases.
This team focuses on defining the solution, sales and go-to-market strategy for customers moving their custom applications and Oracle database workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We help drive acquisition of new customers while maintaining a strong emphasis on continual customer success. Our mission is to transform our customers experience – how they envision the value of their Cloud journey, confidence in the technical and commercial viability, faster adoption and expansion.
Our Cloud Strategist own and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives by working closely with Cloud Architects, Cloud Engineers, Program Managers and Global Sales to design, build and enable repeatable strategies on OCI. The primary focus for strategies will be to drive outside-in or inside-in point-of-views (PoV) for end customers to transform their on-premises IT landscape to Oracle Cloud. The strategies will encompass some of the mission critical and leading Oracle technologies like Database Cloud, Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Services, WebLogic, Java and Apex and solutions around Custom applications, Global Business Unit (GBU) applications, Consolidation and Disaster Recovery on Cloud.
Identify new strategic views using the current business and industry profile; establish spending trends with respect to customer business goals, objectives and new initiatives.
Own strategy development – vision, roadmap, identify key tech trends, ecosystem facets.
Build sales enablement assets, tools to accelerate discovery, technical wins and customer on-boarding
Measure and reiterate the effectiveness of our programs, build re-usable assets and enable cloud architects and sales to execute the programs
Define new programs that would scale the business for a specific customer base or a sales play - target customer base, execution details, metrics and KPIs
Incubate and test new programs before launching them at scale
Collaborate with product management, field marketing and business development teams to build the messaging and positioning
Be the expert in knowing customers, market, competition, and the role Oracle products play.
Lead and influence product teams to invest and iterate on the right product capabilities.
Make business decisions to drive market adoption and customer satisfaction.
Partner with sales and marketing to deliver high quality product collateral, influence packaging and positioning.
Preferred Qualifications include:
8-10 years of business strategy / sales strategy / marketing / project management experience in a Consulting/IT/Retail/Healthcare/Manufacturing vertical, including 3 years of experience in cloud strategy and/or operations.
Experience in strategic cloud consulting, sales support, and market research
Any Cloud Certification: OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP
Proven track record of generating high-quality business results
Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Success in executing cross-channel marketing tactics, generate marketing content
Experience building value propositions , messaging, and guidance for the field and partners
Program and project management skills, having managed and successfully delivered multiple complex projects
Ability to drive change and lead through influence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience working in start-ups is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and results-based metrics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Enterprise technical or product management experience
Flexibility and comfort with ambiguous product decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor and/or Masters degree in a relevant discipline
Ability to travel as appropriate on a modest to moderate basis.
Product-level experience with business-critical apps, like ERP, CRM, HCM, SCM is a plus.
Extensive product-level experience with Oracle Cloud services and database is a plus
