The Fineman & Pappas Law Libraries are seeking a new Collections & Resource Sharing Manager to join our dynamic Access Services team! Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Collections & Resource Sharing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the law libraries print collection, providing resource sharing services to the B.U. Law Community, as well as managing two Access Services staff positions. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, with occasional morning, evening, and weekend shifts as staffing needs arise.
Responsibilities will include:
Training, developing, overseeing, and evaluating two Access Services department staff, the Evening Library Supervisor and the Digitization & Stacks Coordinator.
Overseeing and managing the law libraries print collection, including periodic updates, itemization and inventory projects, retrospective labeling, and collection re-alignment.
Broadly delegating all stacks and collection projects to library assistants and managing student employees completing stacks-based projects, including training, assessment, and quality control.
Planning and directing the Law Libraries collection realignment and the future of the law libraries off-site storage location, in collaboration with the Assistant Director.
Providing resource sharing and interlibrary loan services for law library patrons and lending services to our resource sharing partners, as well as critically evaluating current procedures, implementing changes, and tracking trends in the resource sharing field.
Providing circulation services and directing library users in the use and services of the law library, as well as overseeing Access Services staff and student employees in this work.
Assisting in the overall management of library operations and the oversight of library spaces, equipment and services.
Other special projects as assigned.
Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in a library public services department, or MLS/MLIS and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a library public services department.
Knowledge of academic library public services, including circulation, reserves, and stacks maintenance.
Experience with using library catalogs and ability to use basic business software (e.g. Microsoft Office suit).
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Strong interpersonal, management, and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
Preferred:
Previous management or supervisory experience.
Record of increasing responsibility in a public services department.
Prior experience working in a law library, or familiarity with legal materials.
Experience using an ILS, especially ExLibris Alma.
Previous experience with interlibrary loan and resource sharing.
