State of Massachusetts Contracted Student Intern in Boston, Massachusetts

The Bureau of Family Health and Nutrition (BFHN) under the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a student intern. The student intern will perform programmatic support for the Division of Maternal and Child Health Research (DMCHRA) and Analysis pilot of the MA Parenthood and Fatherhood Experiences Survey including preparing, organizing mailings, and entering data on a weekly basis. _Duties and Responsibilities (these are a general summary and not all-inclusive):_ * Assist DMCHRA staff in producing and completing the mailing packages for the Parenthood and Fatherhood Experiences Survey. * Collect returning surveys as needed. * Bring new survey packages to mailroom as needed. * Track inventory and inform staff when supplies are low. * Enter return survey data into REDCap system. * Other duties as needed. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. * High attention to details. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Tools. * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and via emails. * Ability to lead and work collegially on teams both internally and externally. _Contract Period of Service:_6/01/24-06/01/25-/Renewable subject to appropriation./ _Additional Information:_ * Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals. * Contracts are renewable, subject to the Department approval, performance and allocation of funds. * All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit. _DPH Mission Statement:_ The mission of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is to prevent illness, injury, and premature death, to assure access to high quality public health and health care services, and to promote wellness and health equity for all people in the Commonwealth.
