State of Massachusetts CORI Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated professional to fill the role of Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Analyst. The selected candidate must be committed to supporting DCF and its mission to support families and keep children safe. As a member of the Background Record Check Unit the selected individual will provide a critical service for DCF staff and consumers. The unit conducts background checks that include DCF history checks, Criminal Record checks (CORI), Sex Offender Registry Checks (SORI), and FBI fingerprint checks. All of these checks are required by the Adam Walsh Law of 2006 as well as by Massachusetts state law and regulations. Please note:The incumbent will be required to pass an FBI criminal background records check. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)_: * Extensive performance of data searches using multiple information systems, as well as extensive data entry and electronic mail communication of findings to requesting staff. * Perform record checks that include utilization of the CORI system as well as the Department's electronic case management system for assigned groups and organizational units. * Maintain strong working relationships with Area, Regional, and Central Office CORI liaisons and staff. * Assist with training and technical assistance activities while maintaining and updating files. * Assist in resolving consumer complaints and all staff CORI questions and issues. * Retrieval and analysis of BRC data and coding of findings, in accordance with EOHHS guidelines and DCF policy. * Extensive performance of data searches using multiple information systems, performance of extensive data entry, and electronic mail communication of findings to requesting staff using a PC. _PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:_ * Knowledge/experience of performance of Criminal Offender Record Index Checks as well as the ability to analyze and interpret findings. * Experience and knowledge in the use of DCF FamilyNet. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to provide accurate information on demand * Excellent customer service skills, solution oriented as well as excellent communication and time management skills. * Proven ability in research and analytical skills using search engine databases * Proficient in Microsoft Office and other PC-related software. * A proven team player and willing to take on other tasks aimed at helping the unit succeed. _To Apply:_ Please upload both your Resume and Cover Letter for this position when applying.
