What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

This position is responsible for the development, profitable growth, collaboration and life cycle management of the assigned customer within the Data Center market. Represent Siemens in all sales/strategic activities and act as interface between the customer and the Siemens organization (HQ, Divisions and Regions). Develop and document a global account plan for assigned accounts, coordinated with identified and facilitate global account team at the regional, local level. Account plan will be aligned with Business Unit business plans. Work with local, national and global sales/management staff to increase market share, maintain and develop new opportunities, improve gross margins and enhance local sales team performance, via account plan execution volume sold to the assigned account(s) and appropriate value chain members (In-direct sales). Coordinate with operations, ensure sales personnel provide effective high-quality solutions to meet customer objectives and requirements through sales of our solutions.

This position can be based anywhere in the USA but preference for West Region where the customers main offices reside.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing a solid and trusting relationship between client and Siemens

  • Developing a complete understanding of account needs and manage the business planning process including the documentation and update of an effective, global account strategic and implementation plan to improve Siemens’ client results

  • Managing communications between client and internal teams via identification and commitment of internal resources for pre-sale, sale and post-sale activities

  • Develop and Manage account teams assigned to the client without a formal reporting structure

  • Execute using effective tools and processes as well as selling team management system and cadence – pipeline pursuit & closure, program implementation, relationship development and management

  • Detail account organization and roster of key decision maker, and execution/operator resources

  • Analyzing client data and understanding to:

  • provide customer relationship management

  • assess and document client needs and drivers, aligned with Siemens offers and capabilities

  • Define plans to expand profitable, share of wallet involving products, solutions and services from Siemens and key partners

  • Define programmatic and discipline pursuit and capture strategies for incremental business opportunities at the account(s)

  • Effectively report out to key stakeholders the successes and challenges at the account(s)

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Goal-oriented, organized team player

  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead

  • Self-motivated and self-directed

  • Clearly demonstrated ability to attain results through self and others

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

  • In-depth understanding of client and their position in the industry

  • Ability to effectively navigate the client’s organization and the Siemens organization for action and results

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration

  • Ten-fifteen years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter

  • Collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills

  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through on client contracts

  • Ability to multitask and manage more than one client program

  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting/exceeding sales targets

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the power system value chain, building automation systems, IoT, XaaS, data center infrastructure
