American Tower Corporate Real Estate Coordinator in Boston, Massachusetts

The Team

We are seeking a Corporate Real Estate Coordinator to join American Tower’s Corporate Real Estate team. Day to day, you will support the Director, Corporate Real Estate & Investment Support Services (“Director”) with a focus on leading and facilitating key aspects of the team’s core activities to deliver excellent real estate solutions for our clients, optimize our global office lease portfolio, and enhance and formalize our functional expertise. The role comprises administrative, analytical, and project management/coordination responsibilities across multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

The Corporate Real Estate team was formed to launch a global strategy for ATC’s Future of Work vision and enable the Company’s executive vision and people policies through our physical office space. As trusted partners to the business, we are a full-suite, end-to-end service provider for our internal clients, with core functional activities spanning portfolio management, leasing, acquisitions and divestments, global support services, and new office development.

We collaborate closely with leaders in ATC’s global markets to develop and execute tailored solutions for each market’s unique real estate needs. In addition to our in-house specialization, we foster and manage critical external relationships with brokers, architects, project managers, and real estate consultants to deliver world-class solutions for our clients.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; at least 5 years of work experience preferred.

  • At least 2 years of experience related to corporate/commercial real estate projects preferred.

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products and a demonstrated creativity with their use to solve analytical problems and display data required.

  • Working knowledge of at least one other language spoken in the countries where American Tower operates preferred.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally; approximately 10% travel may be required to support he position’s responsibilities.

  • Dedication to the proper management and protection of sensitive data required.

  • High-level critical thinking and analytical skills required.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Lead activities related to corporate real estate projects (office relocations, refurbishments, decommissioning, etc.), including recurring project management meetings/calls with internal stakeholders and external partners, tracking and reporting to the Director and internal stakeholders project status(es), and coordinating critical activities with various internal teams (IT, Supply Chain, Condeco, etc.) and external vendors, consultants, and brokers.

  • Occasionally travel to project locations to support on-the-ground activities, meetings, etc., related to office relocations and other initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain detailed and accurate cost tracking tools and/or logs to ensure budget targets are achieved and present customized spending reports to the Director.

  • Collect, organize, maintain, and analyze key global lease portfolio data (critical lease dates, physical offices characteristics, lease pricing data, etc.) in a centralized location and produce and present reports to the Director and other stakeholders.

  • Develop, maintain, and present and/or distribute to our global internal clients for their use, a repository of team guidelines, best practices, reference materials, and support tools.

  • Develop and maintain a team portal landing page on our corporate website; update it continuously with resources, news, and relevant information pertaining to team initiatives.

  • Research, interview, analyze, and select third-party vendors for project-related services via competitive bidding processes.

  • Create and process purchase orders and facilitate/manage the payment of project-related invoices, coordinating with accounts payable, accounting, and other internal groups to ensure invoices are paid on time, accurately, and charged or reconciled to the appropriate cost centers.

  • Coordinate and schedule various in-person and virtual meetings for ongoing projects.

  • Collect and analyze, through regular surveys, interviews or other means, ATC office users’ opinions of office amenities and functionalities. Recommend courses of action based on user feedback and other metrics.

  • Other duties as assigned.
