Accenture Cyber Crisis and Recovery Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

You have a proven track record dealing with complex and fast-moving situations after serious disruptions. You can analyze impacts to a client’s environment, anticipate requirements, and help them rebuild their environment based on industry leading practices and their current circumstances. You’re a creative, analytical problem solver with excellent communication skills who can speak to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are eager to put your skills to use by helping us help our clients respond to and recover from cyber-attacks.

The Work

You will be part of a specialized team that helps our clients better prepare for, detect, respond to and recover from cyber-attacks. The environment is fast paced, highly collaborative and no two days will be the same. When working an active crisis, you will support client executive leadership and technical operators to understand incident impacts and help them recover as efficiently as possible.

Projects might include restoring functionality after damaging ransomware or other cyber-attack, helping clients prepare for recovery pre-incident, uplifting existing tools and developing new ones to improve recovery capability, helping to develop methodologies, process/procedure manuals and documentation to prepare for future incidents, conducting assessments to determine how ready organizations are to recover.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of IT or Cybersecurity delivery experience including IAM, Network, Storage, and/or Compute

  • Minimum 3 years working in a crisis, disaster, or other types of high impact and stress situations with understanding of Incident Response and Recovery principles

  • Minimum 3 years working in any of the following: incident response and crisis management; emergency management; cyber resilience; risk management and identification; business continuity, disaster recovery and data center rebuild

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

  • Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications

  • Experience delivering work for a variety of audiences, including executive leadership and technical teams (e.g., CIOs, CTOs, CISOs)

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical recovery concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Proven ability to work creatively to solve challenges

  • Understanding of how to prioritize recovery based on business imperatives

  • Expertise in common enterprise architecture

  • Proficiency in a variety of operating systems, physical hardware, databases, and cloud computing

  • Proven leadership and management skills; ability to build, manage and foster a team environment.

  • Familiarity with backup systems, data restoration processes, and recovery testing

  • Non-recovery relevant IT experience, such as data center stand up, large-scale global IT migration

  • Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
