Intermountain Health Data Analyst Technical Senior in Boston, Massachusetts
Job Description:
A Data Architect is responsible for designing relational and dimensional databases. The Data Architect applies relational theory and business process analysis to the development of logical data models and converts these logical models into physical database objects using data modeling CASE tools. The position develops and implements enterprise-level strategies and principles for the integration of enterprise information resources by defining corporate standards for data architecture, format, quality, and database design. The Data Architect is also responsible for the design, development, and implementation of ETL processes. The Senior Level Data Architect independently manages projects that are moderate to large in complexity. Also responsible for the mentoring of junior staff and the validating of the analysis, models, and data conversion and quality assurance processes of junior data architects. The Senior Data Architect provides input and leadership to help define best practices and standards in database design and business intelligence solutions. Works closely with leadership and customers at the corporate level of the organization to develop integrated and standardized business intelligence solutions.
The Data Analyst - Technical Senior serves as an analyst supporting system/divisional business or clinical management and their leadership. They meet regularly with customer stakeholders to set project priorities, provide work updates, and establish deliverable timelines.
The Data Analyst - Technical Senior is a subject matter expert of their customer’s data and clinical/business operations. They provide consultative support on appropriate usage of data within their clinical/business area(s) and partner with Healthcare Data Advisors and Data Architects to ensure its continued integrity and accuracy.
They mentor and coach junior analysts within their analytic team.
The Data Analyst - Technical Senior functions with limited oversight, partnering with customers to review and determine best methods for meeting their information needs. Utilizing their deep understanding of the data and operational objectives of their customers, they generate actionable and impactful insights for their customers through data exploration, report development and visual storytelling.
They effectively communicate analytic findings and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.
They develop and facilitate regular analytic work demonstrations and hands-on training for customers to promote understanding and independent consumption of analytic work.
The Data Analyst - Technical Senior continues to augment their technical skillset through individual learning and both engages and contributes to Intermountain’s analytic community educational program presenting at learning sessions, serving on community leadership committees, and mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Clarity Certification is required
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience is required
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of SQL (including Databricks) and understanding of database design
* • Experience with Epic Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle and the data flow between databases.*
* • Certification in Epic Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle or related Epic modules.*
* • Experience creating reports and dashboards with data visualization tools.*
* • Expert proficiency using office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel) and internet*
* • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills*
* • Subject matter expertise in health care or related data (Clinical Programs, Clinical Services, Compliance, Quality Revenue Cycle, Strategic Planning, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Population Health, etc.).*
* • Lifelong learner with a creative, collaborative approach.*
* • Temperament to succeed in both an individual and team-based analytic support model.*

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$43.49 - $68.48
