Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts for a Data Engineer. As a Data Engineer, you will be crucial in handling and processing vast amounts of complex data. You will be engaged in the implementation of algorithms, development of APIs, and visualization of data. This role is within the industry, where you will be utilizing cutting-edge technology and cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Developing robust, scalable data processing systems using Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark.

• Implementing algorithms to manage and analyze data effectively.

• Utilizing cloud technologies and AWS technologies for data storage and processing needs.

• Designing and developing APIs to facilitate data access and manipulation.

• Visualizing data using tools such as Tableau for enhanced comprehension and insights.

• Utilizing Apache Hadoop for distributed data storage and processing.

• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data through meticulous management and monitoring.

• Implementing Python and ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Employing analytics techniques to draw insights and support decision-making.

• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering to continually improve processes and solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark is required

• Extensive experience with cloud technologies

• Ability to create and interpret data visualizations

• Experience in implementing algorithms for data processing

• Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data

• Familiarity with Apache Hadoop is essential

• Experience in API development
