At Regions, the Database Administrator analyzes, designs, creates, and implements databases including access methods, device allocations, validating checks, organization, and security.
Designs data models and physical databases, data dictionaries, and schemas
Installs, upgrades, and tests database software
Develops database recovery plans and procedures
Troubleshoots database issues
Monitors database environment
Researches new technologies and influences senior leadership on the changing environment
Acts as the subject matter expert (SME)
May manage multiple projects
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or High School Diploma/GED with completion of a technical training program in web programming language
Ten (10) years of business experience

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Effective presentation of technical information to audiences
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Skilled in monitoring and tuning a database
Solid theoretical knowledge of relational database techniques
Strong research skills with ability to analyze data and create professional reports Understanding of relational database model
