This job is essential to Bank operations and will be an onsite role.

Position Summary:

The Deputy Chief is responsible for supervising and coordinating the staff and operations of posts for the entire department which consists of day shifts, evening and midnight shifts. This position is responsible for ensuring the physical security of the Bank personnel, property and tenants. This position is also responsible for the oversight and management of two additional shifts which include the evening shift and the midnight shift. This position primarily exists within the day shift hours, it is expected to work as needed during the two other shifts as needed or directed by the Director or Law Enforcement Manager (LEM) to provide appropriate oversight. This position is responsible for the supervision of the maintaining and accounting for the integrity of the evidence room and the evidence there in.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Insure proper implementation of established security procedures and work with LEU EM to update as needed.

  • Direct and schedule the work assignments for three day shifts with attention to key posts and special assignments.

  • Supervisor and manage the evening shift and the midnight shift.

  • Implement procedures for controlling personnel and vehicle access to the building.

  • Ensure all visitors are properly identified, screened recorded and controlled. Supervise response to all emergency situations; summon EMT, Fire and Police if necessary.

  • Assign all personnel to provide a rapid and measured response to emergencies.

  • Ensure all department personnel follow and enforce department regulations, procedures, post instructions and policies at all times.

  • Conduct frequent building tours to assess and ensure adequate protection for staff and property, provide additional security as needed.

  • Ensure all required training is performed. Supervise daily performance of protection staff, including appearance.

  • Inspect all posts to ensure proper working conditions are maintained.

  • Maintain the integrity of the evidence and the evidence room and any evidence therein.

  • Update the evidence room procedures as needed.

  • Review, report and address absences and personnel problems.

  • Assist in the development of department procedures and plans.

  • Work with Property Management on building projects to ensure that protection requirements are addressed.

  • Interview and make decisions along with Director and LEM on new employment candidates and candidates for promotion.

  • This position reports directly to the Director.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervision:

  • This position is required to directly supervise 3 -4 employees, which consists of all shift commanders.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of an Associate’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.

  • This position also requires applicable Federal Special Training Certification or Registration.
