Cigna Digital Production Lead, Creative Services in Boston, Massachusetts

The Digital Production Lead is the day-to-day leader of the Digital & Technology team inside the Studio reporting to the Studio Director. They are a connecter of dots between the account, project management, creative/design and the Studio team. They understand and guide the digital strategy, provide best practices and engage the correct resources and partners needed to keep everything running smoothly with the goal of delivering digital projects with clear and persuasive points of view backed up by data, airtight proposals, and a hybrid of technical and creative knowledge.


  • Understands the big picture and can “connect the dots”, prioritizes and effectively manages the production of digital solutions that meet client goals - on time and on budget.

  • Strong knowledge of internal processes and partners, including but not limited to IT, Information Protection, Information Architecture, GCMS, Digital Marketing, CRM/eCampaigns Team and Legal. Maintain and grow these partnerships.

  • Align client goals with digital best practices and stay current on digital trends.

  • Manage digital project workflow through the studio keeping team on track by partnering with all stakeholders, clients, creative staff, and key vendors to ensure realistic, actionable plans are put in place.

  • Lead conversations with partners by asking the right questions, getting to the heart of digital assignment.

  • Meet deadlines from project start to finish and staying on budget.

  • Know in scope versus out of scope changes and effectively communicate them to the team.

  • Participate/collaborate in creating strategic proposals/recommendations, specifications, scope documents, cost estimates and schedules.

  • Manage the production team providing line of sight as needed to the Studio Director

  • Identify gaps in resources, vendors and technology and work with Studio Director to fill them

  • 4 year degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing preferred

  • 5-7+ years of marketing or communications experience, with at least 3 years in digital production

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed

  • Adaptable and flexible; open minded, innovative and creative

  • Expert oral and written communications skills

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with quick turn arounds and ability to flex as priorities change
