Job Description

As a leader in the Digital Strategy and Innovation team, this individual will work both on helping develop the long-term digital innovation strategy and business plan for Enterprise Digital and key CVS Health business units - including the Retail Pharmacy, Aetna, PBM, MinuteClinic, and Specialty – as well as help bring-to-life and deliver a customer-driven product and service innovation process, ensuring that we translate that longer term strategic vision into products and solutions that help meaningfully address the core health and related needs of our members, customers, and patients.

This is a unique role that will marry business and strategic rigor with an innovator’s creativity and “roll up your sleeves” approach to problem solving and product development. This role will be part of an important opportunity to influence the 3-5 year strategic vision in the most important growth areas of the business through the lens of digital innovation.

This role requires a person who can take complex problems and formulate a compelling approach to drive to solutions, applies a “think customer” mentality, can balance quantitative and qualitative inputs to drive to recommendation. This individual must be an outstanding communicator who is comfortable working cross-functionally, presenting to the most senior levels of leadership at a Fortune 10 company and influencing different personalities and perspectives. In addition, this person will need to have a strong business instinct, track record for delivering results and the ability to help structure large amounts of information around complex and far reaching digital strategic topics in healthcare and related fields. This person must be an entrepreneurial, high-energy, intellectually-curious individual who can thrive in a high demand, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesizing and communicating complex information from disparate sources into a clear compelling story that helps key internal decision makers commit to action (20%)

  • Working closely with key stakeholders (Business Units, Finance, IT, Legal) to create and deliver meaningful Digital strategies and enables CVS Health’s competitive differentiation (10%)

  • Designing and facilitating brainstorming and ideation workshops with business owners and subject matter experts (10%)

  • Building business cases leveraging internal data, secondary research and advanced modeling skills that is both quantitative and qualitative (i.e. developing and applying educated assumptions) (10%)

  • Workplanning for complex projects (10%)

  • Conducting secondary research, including the summary, collation and synthesis of existing research (10%

  • Partnering with colleagues in Marketing Research to design and conduct primary research of patients, customers, physicians and payers in support of key strategic initiatives (15%)

Required Qualifications

  • 5 + years of experience in a strategic/business planning role (eg ex Mgmt Consulting, Corporate Advisory role).

  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic/business planning role.

  • 5 + years of experience in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

  • 5 + years working experience within matrix environments and demonstrating the ability to work cross-functionally.

  • 5 + years in building and maintaining effective partnerships and have a passion for digital and ability to be decisive in ambiguous situations.

  • 5 + years of experience in team building and leadership involving direct, indirect, and non-reports.

  • 5+ years of experience synthesizing goals and corporate visions into an actionable strategic plan of attack.

Preferred Qualifications

  • previous health experience (including MPh) and/or experience with digital health and wellness services

  • previous digital strategy experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree Required

MBA preferred
