Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement a clear, substantial Go To Market channel and long term portfolio strategy as a key pillar of The LEGO Group’s overall Integrated Commercial plan.

  • Identify opportunities to serve shopper needs and showcase the strength of our portfolio.

  • Monitor and analyze key trends and insights. Transform those insights into execution in a way that drives meaningful, profitable growth.

  • Lead the local Customer Value Proposition and GTM guidelines for our key target audiences and themes. Define the role of each channel in delivering our key objectives in each space.

  • Build a compelling commercial storyline that enables continued, positive relationships and joint business planning with our retail partners.

  • Partner with leadership in each of the regional business units to ensure a strong link from the regional Integrated Commercial Plans (ICP) into Customer ICPs / Joint Business Plans (JBPs).

  • Serve as the authority for in-depth retail landscape understanding and insights at a micro and macro level.

This role acts as a commercial partner to our markets by making informed and impactful commercial decisions to reach more kids in a sustainable way. These decisions include channel strategy, assortment strategy and listings, customer segmentation and sales excellence; and are articulated in local commercial plans led by the team. As a regional team, we translate the global commercial agenda into regional priorities, in addition to identifying specific Americas regional initiatives. This role has direct growth accountability and is critical in delivering the three-year GTM vision for the Americas Market group. This role will report into the Head of Regional Commercial Development Director for Americas.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 10+ years of related Go To Market strategy, Channel strategy and/or Innovation launch experience in consumer packaged goods (FMCG)

  • Experience partnering with Walmart, Amazon and/or Target preferred, but not required.

  • Experience working in a global business with strong multi-cultural teams, fostering strong relationships, team spirit and culture. Must be able to successfully navigate and influence a matrixed, global organization.

  • Advanced analytical skills, data-driven way of working, solutions driven and results orientation. Proven track record for turning insights into action and capitalizing on analytics to drive disproportionate results/execution in-market.

  • Extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail landscape in the Americas (US, Canada, LATAM).

  • Relevant professional experience in delivering thought leadership on winning Go To Market strategies and executing best in class selling-in plans to achieve robust growth ambitions.

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

New Location Update

This position will initially be based at 501 Boylston St or 10 St. James Street in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St by mid-2025. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $151,100- $226,700 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
