The MENTOR Network Director Human Capital Systems in Boston, Massachusetts
As our Director, HR Systems/HRIS you will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the development of a cost-effective Human Resources People System while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.
Analyze and direct all functional related activities within the scope of the People System with accountability for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.
Oversee and maintain optimal function of the organization’s internal HR information services systems
Align team responsibilities and activities with the business strategy in conjunction with the HR vision/needs, operationalizing the strategy and managing the relationship with the HR and IT teams
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR employees
Collaborate with executive leadership and HR staff to identify needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommends and implements solutions
Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HR services users
Partner with the HR leaders to standardize operations process and procedures to optimize efficiencies across multiple platforms
Partner with HR leaders on the Human Resource systems strategy, participate in long-range strategic plans for business technology supporting initiatives, and the execution of those plans
Design with the team, HR technology enhancements, best practices for current system (Ceridian Dayforce) platform and cloud based systems
Work closely with external application vendor counterparts to oversee the implementation of time sensitive break/fix issues and the successful release of system enhancements and upgrades to products
Work closely with business partners and Centers of Excellence on identifying, implementing automation to improve administration service tasks streamlining processes, reduce redundancies, maximize efficiencies to ensure data integrity
Serve as lead representative and liaison between HR, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects
Oversight for ensuring systems are functioning as intended
Troubleshoot other system issues and support other strategic initiatives as needed
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business or a related field or equivalent required.
8+ years of HR Systems experience and 5-7 years of managerial and progressive HR experience with strong business acumen required.
Competencies and Skills:
Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce
Prior experience with delivering and maintaining large systems implementation
Extensive knowledge of current best practices in customer service
Excellent leadership and motivational skills
Excellent communicator and an ability to translate strategic objectives into high quality service delivery
Able to build relationships and collaborate across a wide and diverse client base, including the ability to build strong relationships within human resources and companywide HR Centers of Excellence and field HR
Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the System meets organizational needs and goals
A team player who excels in a collaborative environment
Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
