A global leader in water, waste, and energy management is seeking a Director of Application Development to drive a major modernization initiative. This contract-to-hire role (3-month contract) offers an hourly pay rate of up to $110/hr, converting at a maximum salary of $190K + 30% bonus. The role is more hands-off managerial, focusing on PHP-based development and requires 3 days onsite in Boston. The primary focus will be transitioning the team to Agile methodologies and optimizing cloud infrastructure (AWS & Oracle Cloud). This is an opportunity to lead a major transformation initiative at a well-established company. The Digital Buildings and Technology Division is looking for an experienced leader to modernize their software development processes, implement Agile methodologies, and optimize cloud costs. Contract Duration: 3 Months Contract-to-Hire Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in hands-off managerial roles leading software development teams
Proven expertise in Agile methodology implementation
Experience optimizing cloud costs and utilization (AWS & Oracle Cloud)
Background in modernizing legacy development teams
Ability to lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing teams working with PHP
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience in enterprise-level transformation projects
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Previous experience leading Digital Transformation initiatives
