Job Description
To ensure proper servicing of all Banquet Functions and assist in the operation and management of the Banquet Department; to disseminate information on event orders, to service and set-up personnel ensuring accurate, timely functions as well as professional and courteous service.
Responsibilities
Responsible for controlling all aspects in the execution of banquet function
Effectively supervise the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service
Coordinating every aspect of the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service
Complete operation of the Banquet Department to include schedules, event orders, resumes, banquet tickets, daily spreadsheets
Train accorddingly so that the Banquet Manager and Supervisor should be able to open and close day-to-day operation
Complete Banquet associate attendance history and ensure all policies are adhered to uniformily
Supervision of Banquet staff service, room set-ups, clean up and payroll administration
Comply with staffing guides and punch detail reports
Assist in keeping necessary inventories on equipment, food and beverage items
Provide Hotel Manager with day-to-day reports on groups and employees
Being able to complete and understand all paperwork; Evention, Kronos, Ultipro, SalesForce, cash bar procedures, safety check list report, etc.
Responsible for adhering to hotel policies and procedures
Must assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings
Conduct monthly ATGT Meetings
Maintain training sheets and disciplinary action
Qualifications
Enforcement and adhere to all liquor laws
Must have alcohol training certification (TABC) and ServeSafe manager certification
Maintain liquor as per par level, make requisitions daily for bottle to bottle exchange
2-3 years of previous high-volume
Banquet experience is required
High School Degree or Equivalent; Some College Preferred
Exceptional people skills preferred
Must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform professionally under high levels of stress
Computer skills required
Flexibility in availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays
