Nike Director of Technology: Product Creation, Merchandising, Planning & Manufacturing in Boston, Massachusetts
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required; Master’s degree a plus.
Minimum of 10+ years’ work experience in a technology related field.
Leadership and people management skills. Ability to coach and mentor so that team members are able to reach their full potential.
Financial strategy and budget management skills. Ability to manage a multi-million dollar annual budget and build compelling business cases to seek incremental investment for priority initiatives.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to interact effectively across functions and cultures.
Ability to influence unpopular decisions while maintaining strong working relationships
Ability to critically analyze information & systems, creative problem solving skills & strategically plan complex organizational & functional interactions.
Ability to manage multiple and changing processes and priorities.
Ability to coordinate multiple and conflicting demands. Ability to meet deadlines. Organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work with ambiguity and try new solutions to existing or new problems.
Ability to understand, design, & coordinate the implementation of new processes and systems.
Experienced with Agile ways of working including Scrum at Scale and/or SAFe. Ability to use tools like Jira, Miro, Aha!. Ability to manage and work within an agile framework, while supporting business partners as they transition to the new ways of working.

The Technology Director: Product Creation & Merchandising, Planning, and Manufacturing Domain will report directly to the Converse Senior Director of Global Technology.
This position will manage 5 direct reports.
As the Technology Director for the Product Creation & Merchandising, Planning, and Manufacturing Domain, your responsibilities will be largely focused in the following three areas:
Converse Technology Product Management– provide Technology solutions and strategic partnership to enable the business strategies of supported functions, especially to drive Converse’s growth as an innovative and digital brand. This includes areas such as:
Merchandising and Line Planning
Demand and Supply Planning
Global Sourcing and Manufacturing
Converse Global Technology – provide technical leadership and partner with other leaders, to ensure all solutions are fully supported by Global Technology. Ensure that we are maximizing and leveraging our resources (people, funds, processes), while also specifically collaborating with areas such as:
Data and Analytics
Security and Data Privacy
Technical Operations and Prod Support
Nike Tech – Drive a strong partnership with colleagues across Nike, Inc., globally, to learn, share, leverage, and partner on solutions that meet shared business strategies.
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Product Creation, Merchandising, Planning, and Manufacturing Technology strategies and execution across all capabilities.
Ensure alignment with Converse strategic priorities. Drive a balanced approach to near-team goals (Win Now), while relentlessly focusing on longer term strategies (Creating the Future).
Provide subject matter expertise, industry knowledge, and team leadership for Technology function.
Engage Product Creation, Merchandising, Planning, and Manufacturing business stakeholders and partners to influence and drive best practices and innovative improvements to platforms, systems and processes.
Effectively manage priorities across multiple products, technical teams, and business stakeholders, using strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Effectively manage a $4M+ budget to accomplish business and technology strategies.
