ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, Technical Portfolio Leader leads a team of technical project/program managers accountable for delivering large, complex, high impact technology initiatives. Project types include but not limited to product/process robustness, next gen components/devices, complex tech transfers, alternate API sourcing projects, major supply assurance initiatives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shape the technical project portfolio through in-depth understanding operational/technical/business strategies, directing work to projects that deliver the greatest impact

  • Accountable for ensuring GT&E's technical and project management approach and commitments are delivered with urgency, rigor, and efficiency

  • Provide Data Analytics and Business Systems Support to the broader organization as needed

  • Maintain IMEx leadership ecosystem certification and continue to incorporate and evolve IMEx principles within the team, including migration to enterprise systems (i.e., DOC)

  • Collaborate with other GT&E portfolio leaders to establish and maintain standard ways of working (templates, reporting tools, skills development, etc..)

  • Member of the Tier 4 Manufacturing Operational Unit (OpU) leadership team as GT&E technology representative

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or a related scientific discipline plus at least 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP support functions required

  • Must demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering or a related scientific discipline is preferred

  • Certification in Project Management preferred

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues that have no obvious solutions

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel up to 25%

  • International travel

  • Adaptation of work schedule to accommodate meetings with colleagues in different time zones

  • US/EU time zones preferred
